Lorenzo Pazzaglia Cherry Ink Extrait de Parfum is an unusual dark-cherry fragrance for men and women looking for a fruity scent with real strangeness and depth. The opening pairs cherry and black cherry against an actual ink note -- twisting, reflective, almost gothic -- with bergamot, black pepper, and a boozy rhum accord warming the unexpected pairing.

The heart layers red wine, damask rose, jasmine, lily of the valley, mimosa, and warm spices through the ink and myrrh. Vanilla berries, tonka, oud, amber, patchouli, and benzoin carry the dry-down into a long woody-amber finish. Cherry Ink wears like a noir film in scent form.

How to Use ⌄

Spray once or twice onto pulse points -- wrists, the base of the neck, behind the ears -- holding the bottle roughly six inches from the skin. Avoid rubbing the wrists together.
